More Kitty Lovin'

The older I get... the more I seem to love my kitty...



And the more he seems to love me....

I love to pet his furry belly...

And I'm learning to be gentle...

So he doesn't run away every time I get close...

I am learning that if I pet him nice he will purr....

This makes me very happy!!

...to love my kitty... and to have him love me!

Meeting My Potty

There comes a time in every young girls life...

When she meets her potty for the first time...

And she thinks to herself, "What the heck is this thing?"...

"And what am I supposed to do with it?"

"And why is Mommy making such a fuss about me sitting on it?"

"Maybe this way?"

"I guess it goes like this because now Mommy is clapping and cheering like crazy."

Yes, ladies and gentlemen... we have come to that time. We have officially begun potty training! And it all begins with the introduction...... to the potty!!!!

Pretty Girl

We went to a baby shower for a friend on Saturday...

So Mommy got me all dressed up in one of my new birthday outfits....

And I posed for pictures....

Then we were off to the shower!

We had lots of fun...

There was lots of food and people...

And other kids to play with...

I made lots of new friends...

(one of whom I kept stealing her toys)...

All in all it was a good day!

And then at the very end... for being such a good (and patient) girl....

I got a balloon to take home. Does it get any better?

Hanging at Home

The weather has been a little chilly lately...

...which has left Mommy and me hanging at home...

Not that we mind.... there's lots of fun stuff to do here...

We've got all of our books and toys....

And a nice warm house to play in...

Sometimes you can have just as much fun indoors....

...as you can outside.

Sometimes its just as much fun.... hanging at home!!!

The Daddy Daytona

Daddy and I have a new game that we play...

He races me down the hallway as fast as he can in my car (with the dog in hot pursuit)...

...while I grin from ear to ear...

... like I'm on a roller coaster ride!

Mommy says that the house is not for racing cars...

...but I think this is the funnest game ever!

And Mommy says we're irresistably cute....

...so she takes pictures instead of being cross...

As I grin from ear to ear!

Valentines Concert

So for Valentines Day, hubby got us Mark Schultz tickets. He also got Grandma to babysit. So we had one baby-free evening of fantastic music...


The concert was incredible... and here we are afterwards with Mark Schultz. Best Valentines present ever!!!

Auntie Mikaela

Mommy has a very special friend who just had a birthday...

Mommy and Auntie Mikaela have been friends for years....

They have lots of fond memories together.......

Playing Dance Dance Revolution at the house on Gifford....

Karaoke at the Pickled Parrot...

New Years with pink champagne (and "An Affair to Remember")...

The Fickley Wedding...

Yes, they have been friends a long time...

Then when Mommy married Daddy.... Auntie Mikaela was a bridesmaid...

...who gave a very moving toast and almost made Mommy cry at the reception...

Then she moved to Wyoming to accept a job while Mommy was pregnant with me...

But she still came back on Mother's Day to visit us after I was born...

And I'll be honest... she's an awesome Auntie!

She sends me super cute dresses...

And writes stories for me... in which I have the starring role as a Princess...

And so we had to dedicate a birthday blog to her!

For being such an awesome friend to Mommy over the years...

And such an awesome Auntie to me! We love you, Auntie Mikaela! Can't wait to see you again!
