A Purple Bonnet

Mommy is silly!
She always dresses me up and takes these ridiculous pictures...
Like the other day she found this purple bonnet...
...and brown boots... that I have never gotten to wear...
So she put them on me... and we had to take pictures...
I kept trying to pull off the hat... and the boots were too small...
But Mommy thought the pictures were cute... so here we are!

Squishy and the Pumpkin

Grandma and Grandad got me a little baby pumpkin for Halloween...It is just the right size for me!Although I don't exactly understand what it is....Or what I'm supposed to do with it....
I still think it's bright and colorful....
And awfully fun to play with....
Mommy or Daddy will probably carve this pumpkin for me...
Since I'm a little small for sharp objects....
But it's tradition... everyone in the family has to have a pumpkin...
And this one is mine!!

Russian Doll

We went grocery shopping the other night... on the night when it was actually cold...
And Squishy was all bundled up in her new winter clothes...
And I thought she looked like a little Russian doll...
So I had to stop and take pictures.... in the middle of the grocery store...
And Daddy was making fun of Mommy.... but that's OK... because look how cute the pictures turned out!!

A Scrunchy Face

So Mommy prepares all meals with tender loving care...They are all made from scratch... mostly organic... and she works very hard to create variety...
Sometimes this effort is met with great appreciation...
Sometimes not so much...
In her defense, no matter how much of a scrunchy face she makes about Mommy's cooking...
...she always eats every single bite! As if to say...
"Mom, this is terrible. But I really appreciate all your hard work." (Yes, that is how I am going to take it)
Come to think of it... Daddy makes a similar face when he doesn't like Mommy's cooking....

Maybe the apple DOESN'T fall that far from the tree!!

Sidenote: What she is eating here is homemade apples and squash... nothing horrible like turnips or okra!

Surprise!

So...... since most everybody knows, I might as well come out and say it...I'M PREGNANT! Yeah, that's right... I had to take 2 tests because I didn't believe the first one...
And when I say "pregnant", I don't mean like.... "pregnant with anticipation"...
I mean like, "pregnant with the spawn of my overly-fertile husband"...
But to be fair, we are super excited! NOT A PLANNED THING! But sometimes God has different plans....
I'm currently 16 weeks... the baby is due in early April...
So soon this blog will not be the adventures of just Squishy anymore... I will have to name it something new...
Because Squishy will have a partner in crime!!

She has no idea what's coming.... but she will!!

P.S All the pregnancy pics are from my pregnancy with Squish! I'm not really showing yet (except for my double chins) so we haven't started to take pics!

Zoo... Again???

I did mention we have annual passes to Lowry Park Zoo... right?
This is a good thing because with a baby, you can't go for more than a couple of hours at a time... so everytime we go... we do something new...This time we got to feed the Lorikeets...
Squishy wasn't sure about them...
She was eye-balling them pretty good...
But they were very friendly Lorikeets!
Then we made our rounds... visited the orangutan, who was hiding under a box...
Quick stop at the koi pond...
because fish are one of Squishy's favorite animals in the world...
Then on to see this guy... who is one of the main reasons we came...
This is Bundaleer, a ten year old Queensland Koala... he is new to Lowry Park Zoo...
Did you know that koala's sleep for 20 hours a day??
Which is why this photo, where he briefly lifted his head... was like catching a glimpse of a movie star...lol.
The it was off to the Australian Outback where we got to see Kangaroos...
and Wallabies (honestly, they look the same)...
Squish had the best view in the house on Daddy's shoulders...
Then a quick trip through the Asian Gardens before the growling in Mommy's tummy got too strong and we had to go...
Our wax animal of the day?
The koala, of course!!!
