So Uncle John just turned the big 25!And even though he's currently in Dallas and we didn't get to celebrate it with him... I couldn't let the opportunity to post some super-cute pictures pass... (Here we are WAY back in the day)
So without further adieu... I present, Uncle John and Squishy:
First meeting: Squishy is like an hour old!
And a lifelong friendship is born...
So small and tiny and fragile...
At times, he wasn't sure quite what to do...
But he was such a great uncle from day 1....
So gentle and loving and caring...
He didn't even mind when she screamed her head off for hours...
So Happy Birthday, Uncle John....
We miss you bunches and can't wait to see you at Christmas... Wait till you see how much I've grown!!!
So we had 3 birthdays this month... and I am so behind on blogging because we have been ridiculously busy (Aaron is working insane hours)... and I am going to catch up eventually (I almost have all of my pictures edited). And then The Holiday season begins, which I am so excited for. But it is going to be crazy busy. Next month we celebrate MY birthday (the 17th)... then we have Squishy's first Halloween... then in November we have my Grandmother's 80th birthday and then Aaron and my second anniversary... and then Squishy's first Thanksgiving.... then in December we have family coming in from out of town... then Squishy's first Christmas and New Years and THEN Squishy's first birthday in early January! Whew!! It's going to be busy! So bear with me... I shall chronicle all.... but it may be a little belated! I am so excited for my first Holidays as a MOM.
Squishy is 8 months old and still has no teeth...Not a single... solitary... one...Mommy read that this is a good thing... and that the later teeth come in the stronger they are...
So Squishy's teeth should have the density of titanium....
But Mommy gave her an apple core the other day... because she kept reaching for it while Mommy was eating the apple...
She went to town on it like nobody's business...
Sucking... and slurping... and munching...
"How do you eat this thing?"
"Is there like a trick to it?"
She ate that apple core about every which way possible...
Generating so much excitement she attracted the cat...
...who quickly moved on after realizing all that fuss was over an apple...
But she persevered... and I think sucked every last ounce of juice out of that apple...
I hope her teeth come in soon... Eating will be so much less frusterating when they do!
We are a new family of 3(about to be 4) living in Tampa, FL. My husband, Aaron, and I have been married for almost 3 years now and just had a precious baby girl in January 2009 (another one due in April 2010). Our life continues to be a journey that is full of extreme challenges and extreme joys. But we wouldn't have it any other way!
