More Crib Cuteness!

Since her crib has been dismantled and will not be set up again until we move tomorrow.... I thought I would post the last pics I took of her in her crib before we took it apart!Also, we are going to have to drop it down.....

...because as you can see...

with her now standing... it has become a health hazard!

The four foot drop to the floor would probably not bode so well for the little Squish!

And she is an adventurous little monkey, so trust me, it would happen!
So the next time you see her in her crib... it will be with modifications!!

The Story of Wilson

This is Wilson!Wilson is a blue hippopotamus.Wilson is also one of Squishy's bath toys!How did he come to be Wilson? I will tell you....

One day Mommy and Daddy were giving Squishy a bath....

And she was playing with her little blue hippo... munching on him and such...

When he accidentally slipped out of her hands....

...and began to float away (can you see where this is going?)...

As he floated across the tub, out of Squishy's reach, my husband cried out "WIIIIIIIILLLLSSSSSOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNN!"

At which point we both cracked up hysterically... which left our poor daughter staring at us in confusion ("something funny just happened... but I don't know what it was?")...

And that little blue hippo has been "Wilson" ever since!!

He makes me smile everytime I go in the bathroom. We will explain it to Squishy when she gets a little bigger! I think she'll find it funny too!

A Squishy Daddy

Daddy gets home from work late.....So of course he wants to spend time with Squish before she goes to bed...They tickle.... and giggle....

And bounce...

and fly through the air....
...and then he wonders why she won't go to bed??

Standing.....

I am such a helpful girl...I like to help Mommy pack boxes...And use the boxes....to pull myself up....

AND STAND UP!!!

Can you believe it??Standing at six months???
Mommy can't believe how big I'm getting....
...but I love every minute of it!!

Driving With Daddy

Squish got her first "driving lesson" today with Daddy!

We met in a parking lot to help some friends move...

... and it turned into an impromtu photo op..

"Look Mommy, I'm driving!"

"And it's so much fun!"

So much fun I kept standing up and trying to climb the steering wheel...

Daddy even let me honk the horn and scare the crap out of several innocent bystanders...

"How long before I get to do this on my own again?"

A long time, baby girl.... a LONG time!!!

A Sleepy Squish

Swim Lessons

Squish got to have her first official swim lesson this past Sunday. For those who know my friend, Alina, she has been a competitive swimmer for as long as I can remember. And her mom, who was also in town for the wedding, teaches swim lessons.So we took advantage of the fact that Squish LOVES the water... and we had a swim teacher in town who loves The Squish...She was such a champ! The water was really cold...

We practiced kicking....

...and floating...

...and swimming to Daddy with no support (which meant her head went under the water)...

...and going under from being on her back (which she was not a big fan of)...

And Daddy got a whole bunch of pointers on things we can do to help her be a better swimmer...Even Auntie Salome was there to cheer her on...

All the excitement made her sleepy....

...and soon she was passed out on Daddy's chest...

She woke up in time to get some lovin....

Before we all had to disperse to our particular places of origin...
Let's not wait so long in between visits, ladies, shall we?
